Fort Worth Water Gardens

One of the city’s most notable spots, the Fort Worth Water Gardens deserves a permanent place on your grid. Located adjacent to the Fort Worth Convention Center, this downtown urban park features stunning water displays flowing through concrete canyons. You can walk among the rushing water to the basin of the Active Pool, providing numerous opportunities for a ‘gram-worthy photo. There’s also a reflecting pool and an aerated pool. For truly impressive photos, come to the Water Gardens after dark, when special lighting creates a dramatic effect throughout the park.

Fort Worth Stockyards

Grab your cowboy hat for a trip to the Wild West at the Fort Worth Stockyards. At this national historic district, you can step back in time to the late 19th century, the boom of the state’s livestock industry. If you need some help getting into character, you can stop at one of the many shops in the Stockyards for some authentic Western wear. Today, the White Elephant Saloon features numerous photo opportunities, including a wooden dance floor, a vintage brass rail bar, and a ceiling lined with cowboy hats. You can also enjoy a cold beverage and a bowl of fresh chili while you plan the perfect post.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden

Capture the beauty of the historic rose garden with beds of vibrant roses, wood trellises, a stone gazebo, and a reflection pond. In the spring, the Japanese Garden comes alive with colorful blooms amid the cherry trees, bridges, and koi-filled ponds. The Botanic Garden also offers a tropical conservatory, vegetable garden, and boardwalk for your next photo op.

Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth

Known as The Modern, the museum features 40-foot glass walls and concrete Y-shaped columns, making the building an icon of the city’s Cultural District. The beautifully manicured grounds also include a reflecting pond and outdoor sculptures.

Inside the museum, you can take photos in the permanent collection and in most exhibitions. Thanks to the transparent glass windows, natural light floods the gallery space, creating the ideal setting for your photos. You can also snap a selfie next to some of The Modern’s most treasured pieces, including artwork by Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, and Andy Warhol.

After over 20 years as a radio store, the structure received a full renovation in 1988. Today, you can visit the Sinclair gas station to see a moment preserved in time. The 1950s-era gas station includes historic gas pumps, vintage signs, and the iconic green dinosaur on the roof. You can take a picture with the green Sinclair pickup truck or go inside to snap photos of the memorabilia.
