Lightscape, the nationally renowned holiday phenomenon, is returning to Fort Worth in November. Located in the 120-acre Fort Worth Botanic Garden, the beautifully lit custom-designed light installations are sure to be awe-inspiring. As you walk along the glistening one-mile-long trail, you’ll find yourself transported to a magical winter wonderland.

Tunnels of light, singing trees, and treetop sculptures are just a few of the spectacles that are sure to delight. You’ll be able to enjoy hot chocolate and fire-roasted marshmallows at various stations throughout the trail. Tickets are required for entry and can be obtained at the event from 5:45 p.m. until 9 p.m. each evening. The tours last for around 1.5 hours. Lightscape will run from Nov. 18 to Jan. 8, so snag your tickets soon before they sell out.

GM Financial Parade of Lights

You aren’t going to want to miss the annual Fort Worth Parade of Lights on Nov. 20. The event is filled with holiday fun and excitement in Downtown Fort Worth. It features various activities and events for all ages, such as holiday shopping and dining out. The parade begins at 6:00 p.m. at the corner of Throckmorton and Weatherford Streets. Over a hundred decorated floats and thousands of sparkling lights will decorate the routes. You can also expect live music and various holiday performers.

For the last four decades, many organizations and groups from North Texas have participated in the parade. Vintage cars, festive horse-drawn carriages, and marching bands are always on full display. The parade will continue the tradition of showcasing the holiday spirit, concluding with a special appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus on their magical grand finale float. This year’s event is likely to sell out. To ensure that you have a chance to enjoy the festivities, it is best to reserve a seat for you and your family.

Gift of Lights at Texas Motor Speedway

Texas Motor Speedway hosts the largest display of holiday lights in Texas. The Gift of Lights is a two-mile-long LED light show that features a massive dancing show of light and color that is visible as you drive down the iconic speedway. You’ll be able to make memories with your family from the comfort of your car from Nov. 25 to Jan. 3.

This event features over two million LED lights and is sure to bring out the holiday cheer in everyone. Make sure to tune your radio station to KLTY to listen to the corresponding Christmas music. Tickets are sold by the carload, so it’s easy to bring your friends and family along for an affordable price. Event proceeds benefit various local charities, including North East Emergency Distribution and Speedway Children’s Charities.

Texas Christian University Christmas Tree Lighting and Concert

The annual Texas Christian University (TCU) Tree Lighting is a tradition that the Horned Frog family looks forward to each year. Join SuperFrog Santa in lighting the spectacular 40-foot Christmas Tree. The dazzling lights and plethora of activities ensure that guests of all ages can partake in the holidays. Free light refreshments are provided while supplies last, and there are also food trucks available. TCU will present a special holiday performance by the legendary Drew and Ellie Holcomb.

The event will also feature a firework show and tents filled with cookies, juice, and apple cider. The TCU tree lighting ceremony regularly has a large turnout of students and faculty members from the university and local members of the community. The Golden Frogs volunteers will be at the “Letters to Santa” station to help kids write their wish lists for Santa. They will then deposit the lists in their purple mailbox to the North Pole.

Enchant

This year, Hallmark will be presenting the legendary holiday-themed lights event, Enchant. You won’t want to miss out on this event, returning to Dallas’ Fair Park from Nov. 25 to Jan. 1. Enchant, which spans 10 acres, is one of the largest holiday-themed lights display in the world.

This year, Enchant will feature a new interactive light maze that’s built with over four million dazzling lights, called “The Mischievous Elf.” Help Eddie the Elf find all eight missing items and complete your passport for a chance to win the exciting Hallmark Channel trip sweepstakes. There will also be a 100-foot Christmas tree, an ice-skating trail, and live entertainment.

After you complete the maze, head on over to the village marketplace for even more holiday fun. Artisan shops, boutiques, and numerous food vendors await you. Warm up with Enchant’s famous spiked hot chocolate and other delicious concoctions at the Tipsy Tree Lounge.
